I often have people ask me how they should use Essential Oils at home.
Well, one of the best ways is to get an Essential Oil Diffuser. They come
in all shapes and sizes. The one shown here is a solid brass diffuser (fair trade too). But they could be made of ceramic or glass.
Using a diffuser is easy. Just pour water into the top bowl. Add a few drops of your chosen Essential Oil. Light the candle on the bottom....and then just sit back and enjoy the aromatherapy.
The candle heats up the water in the bowl, the steam from the water releases the essential oils into the air.
Please keep in mind that we are using pure Essential Oils and NOT FRAGRANCES. Fragrances are not natural, and a lot of people have a hard time breathing them.
In these photos I use 'Clarity' Essential Oil. This is a blend of Peppermint, Lavender & Rosemary Oils.
Peppermint is a great oil because it is de-stressing and very clean smelling. It's also a scent that both Women and Men enjoy.
There is such a variety of Essential oils to choose from. You can buy them blended already or just in a single oil.
Most people begin with a blended oil (pure essential oils mixed together).
Everybody has their own favorite oil, here's a list of the more popular ones:
- Lavender
- Peppermint
- Rosemary
- Lemongrass
- Sweet Orange
- Ylang Ylang
- Patchouli
